Idyllwild is home to artists, animals, friends, family, stars, sophisticates, spiritualists and squirrels! Breathe deep the scents of fresh mountain air! Just two hours from Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego counties and 50 minutes from Palm Springs. “Sky Rock Lodge" is located in the Fern Valley end of Idyllwild. The house is an easy walk to Strawberry Creek and the main town of Idyllwild with its shops, gourmet restaurants, cafes, churches, galleries, and movie theater. “Sky Rock Lodge” sits minutes away from the Humber Park hiking trails and Tahquitz Rock on the top of the San Jacinto Mountains. This beautifully decorated mountain home sleeps 8 and has an open feeling featuring two bedrooms, a spacious loft and two full bathrooms, all with high quality linens and towels. The Living Room/Dining Area and well appointed galley Kitchen are GREAT for entertaining or a more intimate getaway! Three televisions, VCR, DVD and WiFi make it possible to work and play from this mountain retreat! The deck with Spa overlook one third an acre of mountain wildflowers, Pine and Black Oak Trees, Appalachian Bentwood Furniture, Adirondack and Log Circle sitting areas. The gentle front slope makes a perfect “beginners” toboggan run and play area for young and old! The garage holds a washer/dryer and lots of room for toys.

Pets: We (Do ) allow Dogs (2 maximum) (Cats may or may not be allowed depending on the property). There is a $130 pet fee (2 dog max) depending on breed and home; $170 pet fee for bookings between November 1st- January 15th. Stays beyond 3 days, or exceed the 2-dog max, may be subject to additional Pet Fees. IF CATS ALLOWED, it is a flat rate for the duration of stay of $250.00 or $500.00, it is all depending on the property. SPECIAL REQUEST PETS OUTSIDE OF DOGS MUST BE APPROVED BY PROPERTY MANAGEMENT PRIOR TO DAY OF ARRIVAL.
Guests under the age of 25 years of age will provide an additional security deposit of $500 on the day of arrival.

Perfect Stay!

The cabin was quiet, relaxing, and had everything that we needed for a short getaway. I loved that this property was back away from the street. My kids and dogs loved exploring around the property and my dogs loved the fenced yard. We were able to relax in the spa and had everything that we could possibly need provided by the cabin- including beach towels! Every single person that I spoke with between the booking, check-in, and check-out process was friendly, helpful, and very welcoming.

Location was great, we were a few minutes walking distance from the town. Home was nice, they had everything you needed to cook, plenty of games for the family, and lots of space in each room. The only bad things were the coffee maker took 1.5 hours to get the coffee brewed and we found a couple of things from the previous guests, so not sure how well it was cleaned.

Sky Rock Lodge was a delightful and cozy cabin retreat. Ample space for the four of us, lovely fireplace, windows to enjoy the outside snow, space for games, great kitchen, private master bedrooms and an unbeatable loft bedroom. Although we had extra beds and could have taken one of the masters, three of us chose to share the cozy loft! Management went above and beyond servicing us... kudos to each of them, thank you!

We had an overall comfortable stay. We liked the open layout of the cabin and location. The house is a bit worn and could use a few improvements, i.e. tiles in the bathroom and squeaky bedroom doors. Otherwise, it fit our needs and had plenty of kitchen items to cook.

Sky Rock Lodge is very comfortable. We loved the location, the property itself, and the layout of the house. The kitchen was easy to use, the bedrooms private and nice, and the deck was lovely to have breakfast outside. We were lucky and saw live music every day of the 3 days in town and experienced a short thunderstorm!

Comfortable house in a peaceful setting

My family had a pleasant stay during our short gateway to Idyllwild. Kitchen was fully stocked, hot tub was working great, plenty of towels and overall a very a nice place. Convenient to Idyllwild hiking trails and easy to check in and out. Yard sitting area looks to be in a need of a maintenance. We didn’t use it so it did not affect our stay. Plus there is a dinning table on the patio.

Fully stocked kitchen. The hot tub was perfect. We also loved the fireplace . 2 private bedrooms and 3rd room is up in the loft with 2 twin and 1 full beds. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Getaway

We recently got away to this perfect mountain cabin. Idyllwild is such a cute town with breathtaking scenery. The house was well maintained and had all the listed amenities. The bunk house was perfect for the kids and the two bedrooms were great with comfortable beds and plenty of linen. The hot tub was fun for the kids and we were lucky enough to have snow and use the driveway as a sledding hill. Such a perfect weekend, thank you.

We really enjoyed our stay. The bedding was hotel quality comfortable. The spa was hot and well functioning. The home had games for the adults and kids to play. The home feels like a cozy cabin. Beautiful wood burning fireplace with wood on site. You can really see the stars at night from this location. Great seating for dining of large groups. Quiet area. Easy access to Strawberry Creek Trail and the town area for retail shopping. I highly recommend a takeout night at Ferro Restaurant. Check the current hours of operation because they change frequently. Delicious food. A must when in town. Easy access to Idyllwild Nature Center which leads you to beautiful and scenic hiking trails. I give this house 5 stars!
Fantastic Cabin Hidden in the Hills

Skyrock lodge is a fantastic cabin hidden in the hills. The pictures don’t really do justice to how cozy the place is. With the fire going and our kids all running around, it was like early Christmas. When we arrived, a massive snowstorm hit so we couldn’t really enjoy the town of Idyllwild too much but the cabin itself was great. The hot tub is small but was clean and hot. It was quite a treat to sit in during the snow as the area is surrounded by trees and extremely peaceful. The management company were very helpful, especially Lidia, who helped answer our multitude of questions when it looked like we might get snowed in. If you do go during snow season, just know that the driveway is relatively long and not that easy to negotiate with the freshly laid snow. However there were shovels on site that helped a great deal. We will definitely be staying again in the future, hopefully during a time when we can walk into town and see more of the sights.

Loved this lodge! Perfect space for 3 adults and 3 kids. Great location, amenities and room for our families. LOFT. The kids took the loft - boys (6 and 10) got the single beds and girl (11) took the double. Bathroom at the bottom of the stairs became the kids’. Awesome space for them, although their stomping up the stairs and heavy feet did rattle the kitchen below a little. KITCHEN. Well supplied kitchen, if not a little unorganized. Took a bit to rifle through lots of cabinets, but found everything we needed! Micro, coffee maker, electric stove and oven. Had to buy some cooking oil, but plenty of basics (AND LOTS OF PANCAKE SYRUP! LOL). TWO MAIN BEDROOMS. Both bedrooms were comfy and spacious enough. Loved that they were more privately placed down the hall from the main living space and loft, with its own shared hall bathroom. HOT TUB. We spent every night in the hot tub gazing at the stars through the treetops! We made sure to ask for it to be cleaned and heated for check in and it was so nice. It is small - we sat 3 adults with our legs tucked (no seats, just a big bowl). LOCATION. Love that it’s just a mile walk into town (which we did). Also appreciate that the place is on a beautiful lot that is filled with trees on the road side. Driveway takes you a little through the trees to your private getaway. We parked 2 SUVs in the driveway. The driveway is narrow at the road and easy to miss if you’re not eagle eyed! (Look for the golden address plaque on the tree trunk) Would absolutely stay here again!!

Cozy cabin just a few minutes outside of town. The kitchen was fully stocked for cooking and we were able to BBQ and use the jacuzzi. If you turn off all the lights (which is required at 10pm) you can stargaze. It was a great few days staying here.

Such a great home in a wonderful and unique town. The house was large/spacious and very clean. I loved the main room/kitchen area and how open the space is. There is a fenced off backyard area good for dogs. I cant wait to come back again and unplug from the crazy world!

This place far exceeded our expectations! Idyllwild will always hold a special place in my family's heart and it was nice to be in a cabin that helped keep that alive. The place is much bigger than I expected. I highly suggest paying the fee for the wood as it was well worth not having to go out and drag it home. It was also cheaper than out in town.
