Welcome to The Spinning Wheel! This eclectic cabin in the woods is great for many occasions. Whether it’s a family/friend vacation filled with fun or a private retreat away from the city to experience the tall pines, this home is perfect for you!
When you step into the home, you will feel at home with it’s warm and artistic interior. The common area is very open to make family gatherings feel intimate even when everyone is in different spaces. The living room has a beautiful stone fireplace perfect to snuggle up during the winter months. The home’s tall windows and skylights illuminate the home throughout the day and make star gazing indoors possible. The home also has a piano, great for the virtuoso in the group or for teaching someone how to play “Chopsticks”.
The kitchen has ample counter space and is stocked with all the essential pots, pans, dishes, and utensils that one could possibly need. Dining table seats 6 and there is additional seating for two at the breakfast nook. The home has three bedrooms and two full baths. The Primary bedroom has a king size bed. The Primary bedroom also has a sunroom with a desk for remote working and plenty of space to lay out a yoga mat for morning vinyasas. Second bedroom down the stairs has a queen bed with in room piano and the third larger bedroom has two queen beds with a sitting area. This makes the home able to sleep 8 comfortably in beds, 10 with additional air mattress upon request.
The home is very private, surrounded by the tall pines. The deck wraps around the home, ensuring views of the pines and mountains from all different angles. There is outdoor dining seating that can be used either to have a scenic group dinner or for enjoying the views while you drink your morning coffee. Hot Tub now available! This is a great location. Plenty of walking from the doorstep , close to town, private , good views. Big Living Room windows to enjoy the trees and view. Enjoyed coffee on the deck. Beds comfortable . Kitchen well stocked . New Spirit good to work with .

BEAUTIFUL CABIN IN THE WOODS

This wonderful cabin exceeded my expectations! The photos don't do it justice.
When you walk in, there's a huge fireplace & a grand piano in the front room, it feels like coming home. Giant wrap around windows and deck show all the beauty surrounding it: large pines & peek-a-boo views of the mountains.
The cabin is very close to the town center, so that made it very convenient. It's about a mile walk into town, or a two minute drive.
There was ample space to move around comfortably with the six of us. The kitchen has everything you need. We did not use the oven, which looked like a throwback from the 1970s, but all the other appliances were new.
The decor & architecture is lovely and has a real cabin-in-the-woods feel about it. Some of the cabin components were dated, but that just added to the charm of the place.
The management office was very professional & they even sent me a text during our stay to see if we were enjoying our stay. The entire booking process was easy & I felt confident things were going to be great well before our arrival.
I would recommend bringing matches & kindling for a fire and avoid buying wood from this guy who was selling it from the back of his truck in the town center. We got ripped off... lol!
I also suggest that if you're going to order wood from the company that New Spirit recommends, that you give them a three day notice before your arrival. Nowhere was it stated in the information that we needed to give them notice, so on the day of our arrival and request for wood, they were unable to deliver. No big deal in light of everything else being great & you can purchase wood in town from reputable sellers.
Because this is a small town, there are limited restaurant choices. We were there during a three day weekend & it was impossible to find a place to eat that didn't have a two hour wait.

It was a beautiful location, the photos online were not the same when we arrived but it was still a very nice cabin. It needed to be aired out a lot and there was a lot of dust. Everything worked great and no issues, it was very hot in the cabin. Overall it was nice. I would recommend maybe having a bug guy come out for inside the cabin mainly for spiders as we got bite by one inside the cabin.

This cabin is massive lots of space to move around with your family and friends. Kitchen is well equipped fresh coffee bean to grind every morning is a plus. Location was perfect, good for meditation and refocusing. The only down side was poor internet connection and we weren’t able to watch the “smart tv” but anyways that wasn’t really a big deal because our main purpose was to “rewired” due to our busy work responsibilities as healthcare providers.

Simply stated- we just got incredibly lucky with the snow in March, my sons had never seen snow and wow did we see snow!! The lodge was incredible, great location and just beautiful- if your looking for a cabin/lodge, look no further!!

Covid Getaway

We wanted to do something for our 25th but wanted to be safe and responsible with Covid happening. We have two older kids 16 and 21 so we weren't sure how "cool" it was going to be, to be stuck in a cabin in the woods with mom and dad. We got to the cabin and first impressions did not disappoint. The views and main entrance way/sitting room is gorgeous and big enough for everyone to hang. By day we hiked or kayaked, ordered food in for dinner, and then had game nights. At night everyone had enough space to retreat to their own room. The kids didn't want it to end. We would love to come back.

As soon as approaching Crestview, front outlay of the cabin is very warm and welcoming. As soon as walking inside, your presented with ample wide living room that is very beautiful and esthetically pleasing and stress free. Big ample kitchen to cook and host friends and families and not to mention warm heating to counter the cold �� overall, my family and I were very pleased with crestview lodge!

"one of the best VRBO's you have ever arrainged for us".... this is from my employee and his family that I rented the cabin for. they thoroughly enjoyed their time there and could not find anything to complain about.... they stated that everything was as pictured...the kitchen was fully stocked and everything worked. it was also close to the town square without the crowds.

Not one level, two bedrooms downstairs

Pictures on web site did not show steep staircase to lower level, so we thought it was one level. We had an elderly person with poor vision and it made it difficult for sleeping arrangements. Also drive way was very steep and hard for getting in and out.

Cabin Lifstyle in Spacious Retreat

We arrived at dusk and quickly built a fire. From the skylights above we could hear the rain and hunkered down with a couple good books from the owner’s library. We ate a pizza we bought from Fratello’s down in the village, and drifted off to sleep in the comfy bedroom upstairs. As we discovered, the downstairs has accommodations for 6 in two more bedrooms and full bath (the upstairs has a full bath as well). The skylit kitchen has every appliance and utensil imaginable, including brand new fridge and soundless dishwasher. The enormous wrap-around deck, partially under a large overhang, provided a great dog run when it was raining. The cabin is sited at the end of a private driveway, and angled for privacy. Hard to leave it a few days later, but we will be back!

We really liked the house, It was very clean and comfortable. If you are staying there and using the heat .. the downstairs gets really hot and the upstairs is chilly.. Close the downstairs vents for solution. The property management company is wonderful and caring. We needed a dvd cable and they came out on a Friday night and are very cheerful and professional. Location gets a 3 as it is a steep road and driveway and if you do not have a 4 wheel drive ice on the road can bea bit of a challenge. Overall a good experience, nicely laid out lots of room

The home was very lovely. The only issue I had was the late check in time and early check out time. We checked in at 4:30 and when we got to the home the cleaning ladies were stil there.. I know the holidays are busy but it felt unfair when we already had to check in later. If you know there are many places rented for the holidays, you should hire more cleaning people to get the job done. The check in and out times changed for the holidays felt petty especially since you charge so much more for the places during the holidays. Besides that, we really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was very cute and homey and we loved the board games and fireplace. There was so much space for our family of 6 wish was really appreciated. The wraparound deck was also very scenic.
