Welcome to Lazy Bear Cabin! Tranquility in a rustic cabin best describes this Fern Valley home. This 3 bedroom 2 bathroom home is great for families and small groups looking to get away from it all and enjoy a weekend in the mountains.
Notable features of this home include a new hot tub, walking distance to town, privacy and seclusion. The newly remodeled kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to make a delicious meal. Living room has a fireplace and internet TV where you can watch your favorite movies and shows on Netflix/Hulu.
Listen to the birds sing and watch the squirrels play while sitting on your sunny deck or hanging out in the home’s new hot tub. Well maintained with many special touches. Open floor plan with lovely wood throughout with a seasonal creek. Home just got spa installed, which is perfect for relaxing after a long day of hiking.
The master bedroom has a king sized bed with an in suite bathroom with a shower. The 2nd bedroom has a queen bed. The 3rd bedroom has a sofa sleeper. 2nd and 3rd bedroom are attached.
This home is walking distance to town and is very conveniently located. The home is also very close to hiking trails as well as Strawberry Creek. The home is additionally only a 5 minute drive away from Humber National Park where you can access hundreds of miles of hiking trails. Come stay at Lilac and make wonderful memories here in Idyllwild

Parking notes: There is free parking for 2 vehicles.
Riverside County regulations prohibit any "party" lighting (outdoor luminaires shall not blink, flash, or rotate) and will hold guests/New Spirit liable for any "light trespass" on surrounding properties.

Guests booking this home under the age of 25 years of age will provide an additional security deposit of $250-$500 on the day of arrival, depending on the home
(Seasonal wood delivery, IF AVAILABLE $25 per bundle, approximately 20 pieces. Require at least 5 days notification for a Friday arrival date or at least 3 days for any other day of the week arrival date. There are no refunds since we do order and pay for this wood in advance,* exceptions if we are unable to deliver)

We had a pleasant stay at the Lilac House. Close enough to town, but far enough away for peace and quiet. Kitchen was fully stocked for meal making and the bbq was an added bonus. The main room was very comfy and cozy for relaxing, reading or watching tv. Plenty of seating inside and out to enjoy the hone and outdoors. The snow all around was very pretty. Property management was wonderful and friendly. Very accommodating. Thank you so much. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful woodland getaway

Overall, I would describe our stay at the Lilac House as magical. The home has a cabin in the woods rustic feel that made us feel that we were alone in the woods despite being in the middle of a neighborhood. We spent mornings with Campfyre Coffee on the deck and evenings in the hot-tub watching the stars. My only complaints were the lack of curtains on the front windows, and some windows didn't open or needed to be propped to stay open but, added to the rustic charm.

We had a lovely three night stay enjoying the snow with our two dogs at this rental. Great location, only one mile walk to town. The cabin is a little shabbier than the pictures indicate, but all in all it was comfortable & cute. The cabin doesn't have central heat, only one wall heater working (in the living room), & only one small space heater working (though there were two). Once you get the fire going, the living room is nice & toasty but I would definitely suggest asking the rental company for an extra space heater if you end up using the extra bedroom. We enjoyed our quiet stay, romping in the snow with the dogs, & sitting in the Jacuzzi on the deck. Definitely worth the stay.
Cozy place, beautiful yard

A private and comfortable getaway nestled in the quiet community of Idyllwild. We brought our dog and had a great 4 days relaxing by the fire in the living room together, and cooking up homemade meals. Very close to town- we walked there in 15 minutes. It was 85 degrees outside during our stay but inside the house remained very cool (even without AC). The only comment I have for improvements is the stove- one of the burners did not work. And when we checked in, we were told the BBQ may not be working. With the maintenance fees we paid for the booking, we hoped we were paying for maintained appliances. If you plan on grilling or cooking up a feast, you might want to call and check about the appliances ahead of time. Overall a good stay, I would recommend this place.

Nice hideaway in the woods

This house was very nice. The pictures do make it look a bit bigger than it actually is but the nice thing about the house it the deck. We spent so much time out there amongst the trees that it was fantastic. The decor reminds you of when you were growing up. They even had an old fashioned pencil sharpener. The kitchen was usable for some light cooking. Some of the pans and utensils were pretty lightweight. The location was pretty good as it is close to downtown. They say you can walk but it's a pretty hefty walk uphill to get back home. It's a short drive though.

My wife and have stayed with New Spirit several times and this last time didn't disappoint. Lilac has plenty of room inside for two, a charming and comfortable living and dining area, all with wooded and scenic views. The fireplace is a must!

Get-a-way with elderly father

I took my father on 3-night get-away in Idyllwild. We needed a one level home and a hot tub. This home was ideal. The beds were comfortable and the cabin was very cozy. The only complaint I have is the shower in the second bedroom. I could not adjust the water temperature and could not use it.

We had a nice, relaxing time staying at Lilac House. The fireplace was great, and the place was a good size for the 2 of us (though there is another bedroom for guests). The place was clean and well stocked with kitchen items, and was a very short drive to town. We would definitely stay here again!

This was a great place to stay after having proposed to my new fiancee on top of Tahquitz. It was clean and cozy had a very nice master bedroom and bathroom arrangement. The fireplace and jacuzzi were both wonderful for relaxing after our climb. I would recommend this place to others.
